Have you heard of the ladder of success right, so how do we go straight UP!

Learn how to master the eight steps on the ladder of business success! This will help you run your business more effectively and grow your business faster, plus you will have fun doing it too!

First understand why you are in business. A business is a commercial vehicle or enterprise setup up to make profits, and the profits generally make someone or a group wealthy. Ideally it should work without you in it otherwise it may not be sellable, as nobody wants to buy you. Without profits all there are is a hodge podge of people and actions, but nothing of value, so understanding the ladder of success and how to go straight up is pretty critical really. It's there to be a repeatable process that creates profits. A money making machine that prints money all day long.

You must learn to master the basic levels of business before you can ascend the ladder or ascend (rise) as a great and profitable business. And if you are in business you MUST be clearly focused on two main things: Marketing and Selling! Just like sports when you win it hurts a lot less, well in business, when you have sales from marketing efforts that work, nothing hurts as much.

Here's the bottom line, you business must produce the following, AND you need to know the numbers every step of this way. 1. You MUST have leads so your marketing better be creating responders. 2. Your conversion rates (turning prospects into customers) better be above average or you'll just be average. 3. You systems better keep your customers happy and your questions from them to a minimum (or you are wasting precious energy).4. The number of transactions you do is critical and you should always want to either be increasing that number of transactions, the amount of the transaction or better BOTH! 5. The average dollar sale, as I mentioned, either add on, catch a referral making it two sales or make the average number go up by adding on another item(s) 6. Total revenue for the company, which is either going up-good, going down - not good or staying the same - flat and not so good. 7. Margins on your products or services are critical and should also be healthy. I don't touch a thing that doesn't make me at least 30% and finally (but not least - it is priority 1) PROFIT and is something every business owner needs more of. These are the eight steps or rungs on your ladder that will ultimately make you profits and successful (not successful and profitable).

Setup a tracking mechanism at your business that monitors these eight items. Start with a month of baselining, where you determine what the norms are (or if seasonal - one season) and from there you plan how to increase all these items. If you succeeded at four you'd be doing great, but if you succeed at them all you'll be killing it. One does affect the other, so if you are having good results with one, the others should follow.

I gave you them in sort of an order, meaning that if number 1. above is improving, number 2. above should improve and all the way through number 8. However, not everyone is good at everything so some may be working and others may not be. Outsource the ones you are not so good at, that's what I do. The costs is in relationship to the AF factor. The aggravation factor because I may not enjoy to do one of the items. Outsourcing it (for a reasonable fee) gets it done with me "getting any of that on me."

Having been in sales and a sales trainer for so many years I actually like all the topics, but not everyone does. Hiring the expertise is also an option, but outsourcing is much cleaner, if they don't work out: next! With employees, you have all the drama and emotions and all - yuck!

In your planning sessions (weekly is best) ask yourself "With the business model I have now, how will I increase X" and go right through all eight factors. If you have clear answers, put those into action. No clear answers, or confusion either in your head or amongst team members, then it's back to the drawing board until you come up with a clear cut winning strategy for each item.

And I don't want to hear "I can't x." YES, you can, so knock off the crap and figure it out. "Those who have no vision will perish", it's in the bible, so have a vision of improvement and a critical eye for the best way possible to get these eight accomplished. In business, what else have you got? What else would you be spending your time on and is that a comfortable distraction?

If you are too comfortable, that could be the very reason you are where you are. There is no resting in business, you keep driving and driving, and you rest when you retire. Nobody needs an on the job retiree, especially if it is you. Others are watching your example. Model the best behavior in your organization to drive these eight critical business categories. Just do this...

1. Create a bigger number of leads or responders to marketing campaigns by making your ad copy compelling and creating emotion to buy 2. Raise your conversion rate by being diligent using a sales system such as our Octo-Gone 3. Turn one time customers into repeat buying clients by adding value and servicing the heck out of them ASAP 4. Increase the number of transactions by adding an upsell line item to every order or a second offer (if you buy 20 the second 10 are 50% off) 5. increase the average ticket price by raising your prices or suggesting the additional of a sister item for best results 6. Increase revenue by focusing on selling more and by driving marketing to create more and more responders 7. streamline your business so you retain more margin (by reducing your costs) and obsess on process improvement and finally 8. To increase profit raise prices, cut expenses, streamline operations or add a product or service line. That's my advice. If you need assistance, check out the offer below.

Finally, Ask your self two questions: 1. Who could buy a lot (think out of the box for this answer) and 2. Who could buy often (who would consume your stuff fast buy repeat rapidly) answering these two may solve the other eight.

If it not your fault, who's is it then?

If you were to stop your questioning of who's fault thing are and channel that energy back into your life, your interests, your passions and your happiness, what could be produced?

I hear so many times "It's not my fault" or worse the up yours words "Oh well, it's not my fault."

These words are a retreat from responsibility. They are the common language or vernacular of children from ages five to fifteen, the very same years that these kids really, are receiving "ALL" the programming for life. All the lessons, influences, opinions, and other things that shape a person from ages 15 throughout the rest of their life. What gets learned after age 15 on on is wisdom. Wisdom to apply this programming from birth to age 15 to all your life's situations.

It's been said that the formative years are from age birth to age 7ish and there is an intense uptick in the programming of ones mind from ages 7ish through 15ish. But once the forming of the mind, the creation of all this programming is complete, your mental map or personality is formed.

Why that is important to understand is that many people go through life as though they are still fifteen, and some as a five year old. Don't get me wrong, the best part of being five is to have fun while not having a care in the world. In fact, I often write about and encourage people to let their five year old come back out to play to have some fun in their lives, but that's for fun.

A five year old hardly could be successful in business or in life or in hardly anything requiring adult programming. What is programming? Programming are all the traits, characteristics, lessons, hurts, etc. that as we are "growing up" we experience that have an impact on who we are (at the core) and what our life will be shaped by, because our programming is in our mind.

Example: Expectancy, expectancy for a young person (5 to 15) who grows up in Greenwich, CT (very affluent area) vs. that of a child who grows up in East LA (the barrio) is a vastly different experience, yet each of them from ages birth to fifteen, will still have "formative" years and big growth from ages 7 to 15 (and look at gangs who recruit at 8, 9 and 10 years old).

Understanding this framework helps us to look at the statement "It's not my fault" from the perspective of responsibility or accountability. Especially in one's own life. I'm not suggesting we should look at birth to 15 and judge these kids, I'm suggesting we look at adults who make the very same claim of "it's not my fault." At best the statement in juvenile or childish. Perhaps as adults (18, 21 or whatever number you believe) this type of statement limits us completely.

If by habit (words) you can hide behind "It's not my fault" there are at least two things going on here. First, you are NOT being responsible. Second, if you look at this from the adult ONLY viewpoint, who is responsible for you, your life and your situations? Not me, not Uncle Willie, so it must be YOU (Your Own Understanding). If you can grasp the understanding, your own understanding, that what happen when you say "It's not my fault" is that first you are avoiding your own responsibility, as saying "it's not my fault" is simply a deflection of responsibility and there is a payoff for you, by the way a NON-monetary pay off usually.

A payoff is something you get from an avoidance behavior. So by saying "It's not my fault" what you are REALLY getting is the payoff old being completely irresponsible. If your room wasn't clean as a kid after a guest came over and you said "it's not my fault, my friend dirtied my room." You'd be accurate, but still irresponsible. And to worsen it, and enabling parent might say "Okay, Tommy I'll clean your room this time." You have been just been taught how to manipulate and "be" irresponsible. And it always comes back to "who you are being."

As a teenager, you asked to "get a job" but when asked by your parents you say "it's not my fault, nobody will hire me." and you are let to do that too, then your enablers have taught you that you don't have to work (or earn your keep) and that avoidance behavior has you learning nothing about work, or future work (what you like or dislike in terms of jobs) and the payoff is you don't need to work (again be responsible). You see it almost always comes back to not "being" responsible. Look at where these payoffs meet irresponsibility before you really suffer.

Then as a young adult, you don't a career path chosen, and choose not to go to college (or can't because your grades are suspect) and you find yourself in a crappy job (like 58% of the world's population) and claiming "It's not my fault I can't earn a decent living, no one ever helped me choose my career." Again, 100% irresponsible and now we are advancing into justifying too. But the bottom line is no good job or career path and you are limiting yourself on many fronts.

By ages 35 to 55, we find you coming into our coaching programs to get help to turn things around and we are blessed and honored to be able to do this work as it is a necessary service, and what we'll do is have you take a look at the very things you've been avoiding all along; you ability to be 100% accountable (fancy word for responsible as an adult). You see we can't ask children and adolesents to be "accountable" yet, only responsible. We say "Your BEING irresponsible", we don't say to a ten year old you are BEING unaccountable, they don't get that.

But you are an adult and you are reading this and you DO GET IT, you are BEING unaccountable, or lacking accountability and all of this stems from past programing sure, but continued bad choices. Choice, perhaps from old habits (which die hard) to be irresponsible rather than accountable. And BEING accountable is one thing and BEING 100% ACCOUNTABLE is another. It's the highest level of self truth available and many need a coaches, or coaches, to accomplish this. I assure you though, when you do, your life will be changed forever.

That to "Your life will not be the same" or "Your life will be changed forever" is now an overused buzzword. I'm saying when you do the work, you and only you (not blaming others that "It's not your fault") will benefit from the added responsibility you shift TOWARD your life rather than the deflection (Away From) your life, it will make you more successful (perhaps eventually) and to do that your accountability (what you say you will do) will need to increase as well and that;s where the coaching comes in. Your life coach ends up as your accountability partner, insuring you do all that you say you are going to do, helping you to win and succeed.

There are three life options: succeed, fail and something in the middle, mediocre perhaps. Which do you want? Duh, succeed. Okay, then "It's not my fault cannot exist in your vocabulary any longer. All the defeat est language has to go, starting with "no." Are you ready to take on your life (remember no is now gone) so it's yes or some wishy washy other answer (maybe, perhaps, sort of, etc.), And that will hold you right there, exactly where you are at, like taxes to the middle class (designed to oppress you, hold you back and keep you paying the highest percentage of taxes) against your will or not. They don't care, they like you right there: trapped. But you can stay there ("it's not my fault that there are taxes to the middle class - get out of the middle).

Hmm, like the credit card companies who are all too happy for you to pay your minimum balance while paying fees that are pure profit to them (they've no extra work to earn these fees - they've added no additional value to you) such as over the limit $35, on a $200 minimum payment on a big balance your interest could be $187 (and a whopping $13 comes off your balance - except the $35 over fee has you $22 under water, but you pay the minimum) and they love you for it! It's not my fault, I couldn't pay more (then charge less or not at all - these are your choices).

And for all choices there are consequences, good and bad. Good choices good consequences, bad choices bad consequences, so you must choose wisely. There are NO RICH VICTIMS! And victims NEVER say "It's not my fault" they say Crap that was totally my fault, I missed that, but here's how we can fix that. In other words they take on their responsibilities and their word (their integrity to themselves) is golden, so they are very highly accountable and what's their payoff? A real payoff, possible financial freedom, certainly they're at least on the path to it.

Your call now, It's not my fault" or you "TAKE ON YOUR LIFE" whichever you do there will be evidence, clues of your results good or bad, but evidence yet. Enough! Take you action NOW!

How could I have gotten a flue shot to protect against the flu and got it right away?

Simple; What you Focus on EXPANDS!

Hi All, it's been a while since my last blog post, sorry I was traveling on a mini-book tour and had spotty Internet access at best, but now I am back, so here goes...

We've been saying for years now "What YOU focus on expands!" If you focus on good things, you get more good things. If you focus on bad things you get more bad things. If you focus on no thing (nothing) you get more no things (more of nothing), so you have to be really careful with what you put out into the universe (if it stays in your head, meaning you just think about it briefly, nothing outbound happens. If you do dwell on it though, that does go outbound).

It's a bit like the old line "Careful what you wish for." Because in a universe where "Universal Laws" have a place, and an affect, you have to be careful to use this leverage carefully. You know some people poo-hoo the universe stuff. I'm not all naive or woo-woo about it, but there's too many circumstances that have occurred in my life or the lives of my clients not to believe in some form of universal law or presence. I'm sure you've seen things happen too.

Some call it fate or faith, when something occurs that is beneficial yet unexplainable, and we know it comes from somewhere, some higher power, but we don't exactly know for sure. We may not think about it long, so I'm simply asking you to take a look at it this way. It's an opportunity for you, that's all. Another look at something from a different view or perspective.

Now whether you believe it or not I'll leave up to you, however, when a guy like my friend Bob Proctor, who's been at this for a long time now (40+ years) writes a book about it (Born Rich - Out of Print now) I pay attention to it and him, I look into it a little bit, and I want to see what is going on with it and how it can help me/us. We now know that what goes out into the universe are vibrations, or electrical charges from our bodies (both positive and negative charges) and through the Law of Reciprocity, we get back what we send out. In others words, what you focus on expands. It's the result of a fundamental universal law at work in the world and in your life!

If you had the opportunity to take advantage of this universal law, why wouldn't you? What have you got to lose? Might you not want to talk about it so you can continue to "look good?" How about you are not certain about this, so to bring it up in your life or in your circles you might not "be right?" Or maybe you won't look cool because your inner circle may criticize your involvement with "voo-doo science?" In any case, for WHATEVER reason, you will miss out?

Some of us are more interested in being right about everything, or looking good "at all costs." Is that you? You can't bring yourself to look at these universal laws that have been around for a long time? There are 28 of these Laws, not just this one, that when used or leveraged properly, they could have a huge impact on your life. Are you missing out on things by not tapping in?

I said "at all costs", what are your costs. Where aren't you happy? Where aren't you healthy? Where are finances a mess so you are not free, or secure, or at least financially stable? Where?

Would you rather look a little silly (maybe) and be really, really rich, or would you rather look cool (or so YOU think) and be really, really broke - STILL? Or maybe you are the opposite of what we teach, perhaps you are UNhappy, UNhealthy and NOT Financially Free??? Are you happy? Are you healthy? Are you financially free, or at least on the path to that freedom? No?

Then you absolutely have to take either another look, or a different look at these possibilities. Do you see them as possibilities or woo-woo stuff? Have you tried it? If you haven't, maybe you should. If you have, but didn't believe then perhaps you didn't get the result, and that fostered your negative feelings or woo-woo feelings. Either way, ask yourself, "Are others benefiting from the power of the universe? If you answered yes, then don't give up, figure out how to get yours.

Maybe you were just doing something wrong because you didn't have all the information, or the conviction to really believe in it, maybe you went about it with caution, rather than reckless abandon, to see what could be different? If you are focused on what you've always done, guess what, you'll get more of what you've always got (because what you have focused on expended).

I've had it both ways, TRUST ME, life is much better with money! I shoot for "Abundance" and "Opulence" for all my clients, but they have to believe and they have to do the work, not me. I've done it for me already. My job now, it is open up your mind, to provoke you into something you otherwise might have missed, to get you to look at many things from another perspective.

You've heard me say in the past (many time probably) "Conventional Wisdom Sucks!" It's even more true today than yesterday. I asked my Doctor "Why do I need a Flu shot?" He said to prevent the flu now that you are at 50 (or over 50). I said "Okay, but don't you get the flu from it?" What did he say? "No, you don't get the flu." Conventional wisdom, guess what he was wrong. I got the flu! I focused on what, "the Flu", so I got what I focused on "the Flu", period!

I hardly ever get sick, and when conventional wisdom said "get a flu shot" I knew better (but I was thinking now at 50, maybe there's a few things I don't know) so I took my doctor's advice. But I got exactly what I didn't want because I focused on it. I asked him to explain, and the doctor said, predictably, "It was a coincidence." Bull Crap. I got what I wanted: The Flu!

What are you focusing on? Is it for your happiness? Is it for better health? If it for Financial Freedom? If it is not (like my flu) you may be getting the result that the universe thinks it has heard from you. But perhaps there is mystification because you believe you asked for something altogether different? That would indicate a time for a coach to get involved, to help find clarity.

When you have a crystal clear visions, supported by 10 to 12 rock solid commitments, you will get everything you despite or want from life, after, ONLY AFTER you out everything you've got into it! But until then, whatever eludes you exists in the universe, but just not for you? Why?

That's the question? Why does it elude YOU? Why does it exist for others? What is needed?

Perhaps a different view or perspective is needed, and something from you is missing. In the world of spirituality, rarely can you put one over on the universe, as it is all wise and all reading, reading the energies that you put out. Your mouth may say one thing, or you may trick yourself through rationalization, but the universe knows better and reads your vibrational energy and cannot be fooled. That's where coach comes in, by bridging the gap between where you are, and where you want to be, and by harnessing the power of all 28 Universal Laws in your life.

Are you surrounded by people in your life that create a "Spirit of Cooperation" second to none? Do you wish you had those people in your life? Does your team offer this or not?

Building Your Team, whether in your life or in your business, is a huge undertaking. How do you know who you need, what they need to know, where they can help, why they'd want to be involved, how they can assist you, how much they can help or how often? Is the spirit of cooperation present, or ARE YOU ONE YOUR OWN?

A Life coach, a personal coach, a business coach or an executive coach, all of them should be able to create not only community in a hurry, but also they should be able to create the spirit of cooperation too. They get people to play together without all the sandbox activities of infighting, backstabbing, gossiping and acting out. That would not be the spirit needed to succeed or even try. Leadership is needed, charisma is needed, you authentic self is needed and your true friend needs to show up for you and rise to the (your) occasion. Are they? Why not? Where are they?

You know what the problem is as well as I do. Your relationships are lacking, aren't connected tightly, or are at a distance, and a distance that won't allow you and your best supporters to lock arms in a human chain that cannot be broken - EVER! Nothing good comes without a price, so its best to use "ALL" your resources.

That of course includes all your network, but also could include your personal coach, business consulting, free coaching, training-coaching, coaching products, self help books, and seminars or workshops. This could include the famous folks like Les Brown, Harv Eker and even yours truly Steve Keough (not steve kehoe, not steve keheo, not steve keyo and not steve keogh either). You may need staight forward coaching, how appropriate. Perhaps you need a business coach alliance, or help from one of my top coaches, such as Francisco Dao of Inc.com, or from SuccessTracs or Peak Potentials Training or other seminar sales support companies or people.

Have you ever wondered why some people progress so fast while others languish?

If you knew what they knew you'd be on the fast track to success too!

Let's get right to the point. Is it "Insider Information", are they lucky or are they just in the right place at the right time? Answer: Yes! Yes to all three in fact!

The have inside information, everyone is lucky (even while most state they are not) and they purposely put themselves in the right place at the right time. Let me explain. Insider Information is the key to this blog because we are all lucky from time to time, proving we are in fact lucky. After you realize you have been lucky in the past, then you can create you own luck in the future, at will, whenever you need it. It's been said that luck is nothing more than perspiration meeting preparation and if that is true and we believe it is, then yes, you can create your own luck, and you can create it at your own, on demand so to speak!

As far as being in the right place at the right time, do you believe in fate, faith, karma, any of those? Most of us do in some form. Great, then you'd have to admit that we are all in the right place at the right time, at least in the moment. So again, if you have been in the right place before, you can purposely put yourself in the right place at the right time (your time) in the future. If that is true, and we believe that it is, then you can put your focus on the Insider Information. Before we look at that for the rest of this blog, just realize that for you to put yourself in the "right place" at the "right time", you have to know what you want and then, and only then, will the planets align for you to start creating opportunity, and the kind you want!

What happens here then, why are we in search of these right places and luck? That's not a very good ROE (return on Energy). If you knew what you were passionate about and you knew what your vision what your life was (if you do great, if not pretend you do for just a moment) then my guess is that you would want to be known as an expert in that field of endeavour. So what's the secret? And why don't you have it yet? What have you been doing instead (lack of focus)? Who's been derailing you (you)? Why do you let this continue (Not sure what to do)? How long have you been this way? How long will you let this hold you back?

Is it good to have Insider Information? Is it good to know secrets? Is it helpful to have cheat sheets? Is it good to bust myths? In our society the way these questions are asked, combined with the past conditioning we have for the way these are portrayed (as bad), then we believe, or at least think, that insider information is a bad thing. The term Insider Information was made most negative in the context of the Stock Market when brokers or agents let out confidential stock tips of selling or possible sales of stock leaked before other should know.

Sorry, cal it what you will, right or wrong many people get VERY rich with this insider trading information. Do I condone that? No, but to illustrate why the information is such strong LEVERAGE I felt compelled to relate it to my story. Now lets get to the real point of this article.

If you are a interested in improving your life, being financially free (at least financially stable)a life-long learner, a student of enlightenment, interested in self-help, self-improvement or transformation, then you DEFINITELY want the insider information. Let me explain.

I've been involved with transformational learning, experiential learning, coaching people and using the power of the positive human spirit for the betterment of people and families for almost two full decades, 17 years to be exact. Now let me ask you, would you want all my insider information, OR would you rather slog it out yourself spending years and thousands to learn what I have learned only to end up in the exact same spot as I am, but it would be 17 years later in your life? Why RE-CREATE the wheel? I've committed my entire life to be the expert in this field, honestly so you don't have to be, and so YOU can benefit from my life's work.

That's Insider Info I wish I had in 1990 when I started, but it didn't exist back then. There was very little enlightenting information back then (there was the bible - but no transformational detailed information) but there is an abundance of that info today, too much now in fact. Why I say too much is because the purveyors of this information are not packaging it very well at all.

We are overrun with the information, theoretically, but few are offering practical "How To" apply this material information. And when they do, it is NOT very systematic at all. It's lumped together in a hodge-podge of cliche quotes and ideas, but it is NOT often packaged in a methodical way, a from here to there assembly of facts and defacto standards of how to take FULL ADVANTAGE of the materials available. That's where coaching comes in!

Even with coaching, there are many wannabe's that just hang a shingle in this unregulated industry. As long as they are one step ahead of you they feel that they are qualified to coach you. How spooky given the wreck of a life that many of them are entangled in. What to do now?

There are two paths that will get you there, wherever there is for you. The first is the conventional path, and if you know me then by now you know I think conventional wisdom SUCKS! The conventional way is exactly the way my mentor Brian Tracy put it: "Read for just 15 minutes a day and with just five years you will be an expert in your fiend and for ten years and you will be a world renowned expert in your field." Brian is right, and his wisdom is profound and proven, and in this case, the Insider Information will cut the time down DRAMATICALLY.

The second way is to have a mentor or coach and LEVERAGE everything they have learned to your advantage. In my nearly 20 years of learning, there are probably a dozen, maybe a dozen and a half of actual teachings that I use personally, build into ALL my coaching programs because they are so profound and impactful, but it took all those years to learn, plus tens of thousands of dollars! Why not take advantage of that insider information and use it to your advantage ASAP, instead of it costing years of effort and $20,000 or more?

Wouldn't it be cool to be able to get help with anything?



After you read this blog post that is exactly what will be possible for you!

Have you ever wished that you could get help from the people you know to get some things done? Whether they are small tasks like getting book pages edited, or having your Virtual Assistant deal with your book Publisher or as huge as accomplishing parts of your vision for your life, wouldn't it just be nice to have a little help? Well you can get that help after you read this entire blog posting, but first what is Enrollment and Registration?

The first thing to notice is that it is a TWO PART process. You cannot complete the enrollment process with someone unless you enroll them AND register them too. But registration is just the transactional part of the process. What that means is securing someone to help you requires them to be "enrolled" in what you are up to, and then the registration process could be as simple as them saying yes or something more sophisticated.

In the case of coaching (life coaching, business coaching, executive coaching or career coaching) someone must sign up for membership and that is the registration portion of coaching, but first they have to be interested/motivated. That interest or motivation or a thousand other words for it is the enrollment portion of it. Enrollment is a nice word, it sounds good and it indicates a pleasureful experience. Webster's say to enroll is "to become a member of." So if I asked you to help me rake my huge back yard (enrollment) and you said yes (registration) the process would be complete. I'd be psyched that yard would be done too!

That was an easy example, not too much at risk other than a blister or two and maybe a sore back. But what if I asked 320 people to join (enroll) us as GAP's (Global Affiliate Partners), then there would be much more to it and I'd have to explain the program, the tools, the support, etc, then ask if they were interested and if yes (registration) they would take action, in this case complete a GAP Application and send it off to our Straight Forward Coaching Affiliate Manager for approval. The bigger the game the more that is involved with registrations.

Why doesn't that usually happen for you?

Well, one reason could be in the way you are asking (or being) and the other could be, that unknown to you, you've been labeled "A Taker". In other words, your friends family members, co-workers and associates think "all you ever do" is take, take, take! Not too cool.

And/or, they are tired of you and don't want to participate in anything you do anymore, and in extreme cases not only don't want to hear about it, but under their breath they may actually hope you fail. That's so you'll stop bothering (taking) from them. Ouch, what does that say about you? In two words "selfish taker", but we want and need to remain as selfless givers, so then how do we get our needs met and how do others help us? All of us know takers in our lives and none of us really like them too much, do we? So why would you think then if you were a taker that the opposite would happen and people would ALWAYS want to help and you EXPECT it. That is YOUR ego hard at work my friends.

Life is lonely without: a loving relationship in the form of a significant other, supportive family members, great friends and many friends, or at least a really committed inner circle of friends and because we are human; coworkers, occasional friends and associates. Why this often occurs is that you are overdosing YOURSELF on pride (not the best of traits) rather than being humble. Humility is one of the best traits, values or characteristics of humanity, but sadly most are NOT really good at it, or even understand it's true impact on your life. Lose the pride!

Have you heard the phrase "You catch more bees with honey." Of course you have, but the inference here is that by being humble (definition: not proud, not assertive, to lessen or obliterate pride, to show your defects) rather than full "being"of pride (definition: an overly high opinion of self, arrogance, best of class, contempt for others). Your "beingness", while not really a true word, but in coaching we use it as a verb; they way you are being. Based on the two definitions provided a sentence or two ago, which would you rather be? In the well know coaching model of "be, do have" it all starts with "be" or "being", which is what we call YOUR beingness. If you are being prideful (above) it won't further your cause(s) while other avoid you. However, if you are being humble, others will get what you are up too and possibly want in.

Your Vision for your life is the best example. Let me explain. Your requests of them (friends, family, etc.) have to be bigger than you yourself. I'm very clear that if I ask my team for my selfish things they likely won't help me either, and worse they will feel that I am lazy and or out of integrity and say "NO" because this is self serving. But if they see the request is for a client being coached, or an animal in distress that our SPCA donation could help, or that a 5 year old in Haiti will have clean water, before I'm even done enrolling and or registering they ask "How can I help?". It's magical! Enrollment AND Registration are powerful tools in one's life.

If this seems foreign or possibly tough to learn or convert your evil ways so to speak, then you may need your own personal and private coach to help you do this life altering, profound work. An offer will be made to you at the end, so for now stay focused on the topic and keep reading on please. The offer will be there, so this is no time to thin about joining coaching.

Relationships are critical for success. EVERYTHING you need or want from life is going to come to you from SOMEONE ELSE! How will you get help, expand on the help, broaden your horizons, and in the end succeed by yourself? It's not possible really, at least if you want to be satisfied with life too. Sure you could be a lone ranger and get "rich" (meaning only the money part), but your life can't get rich (not the money) or wealthy (not the money) when you only stay in your own cave (by yourself) and don't fully interact with others in life.

So your vision is best if it is bigger than you. Such as our Contribution to the world in the form of supporting and financially helping the SPCA or Drinking Water for Kids foundations. Anyone that may get emotional or be emotional about those causes in naturally inspired to ask "How can I help?" And so you wan to create natural enrollments by people asking how can I help in the ways in which would help your cause(s). They act natural and gravitate toward you when they are either inspired, emotionally moved about a cause or touched in some way. Touched, moved or inspired by the cause or vision to correct something, an injustice maybe, and naturally motivated to want to help, so the enrollment is easy and the registration is painless.

If you are struggling to enroll people then you simply are not pushing their emotional buttons, you are not touching, not moving or not inspiring them at all. It's possible this happens due to a lack of authenticity or forced authenticity. When you inspire from the heart to the heart it is automatic. When you force it, it doesn't work. So the best thing to do is to create your vision and tell everyone (attempt to enroll everyone) and for those who feel it is a fit, they will allow you to enroll them or they'll enroll themselves by asking "How can I help?" And in either case you will register them. If your message doesn't resonate they won't enroll themselves or perhaps at all and that is okay too. Our stuff is not for everyone.

And, don't be surprised at the lengths that some people will go to heckle you or your messages in a selfish attempt to derail you that comes from their upsetness or anger that you are the chosen one, that you are succeeding, or that you are courageous enough o take the stand that they would if they had a spine. And in some cases they will trash your name, drag you through the mud and attempt to distract you from your successes - IF YOU LET THEM! So, don't and remember small people play small games and their insecurities make their results mediocre. You don't want to be hanging around in that crowd, even if it is a family member. Move on!

Whatever your idea, your vision, your passion, or your cause, take the stretch exercise and go out and enroll 10 people in what you are up to. And whatever the percentage, say 70% (7 of 10) will follow your journey, then expect that at 100, 1000 and 1,000,000! Take the challenge enroll and register 10 people in what you are up to and let us know how you make out!! Be well.

What No Money in the World?

A World with NO MONEY??? (aka "the United States near banking failure")

In a world with no money, what would people strive for, what would be their goal?

Purity: Pure Joy and Happiness!

Assume for a moment that barter or trading is out too in addition to no money exchange. In fact the whole transaction or exchanging of goods or services is removed for just a moment to investigate what's at the bottom of people's motives if pursuit of the almighty dollar isn't life?

Then what would people's search for be? My guess would be the search for happiness. Or the search for tranquility. Or the search for peace, joy and harmony, however you would use the term "Happiness." Wouldn't you agree that the search for "true meaning" would be the search for personal satisfaction, personal joy, personal love and personal pleasure or Happiness!

But isn't that what life should be even with money, "The Pursuit of Happiness"? Yes the pursuit of happiness WITHOUT the agony of defeat as ABC Sports declared on EVERY sporting event it televised for about a decade, so it got burned into our memories. Or maybe being "Healthy, Wealthy and Wise." Notice that Healthy is first, not stressed out as so many people are over money and many other things too. Next is wealthy. but not necessarily money wealthy, but overall wealthy, as in "A Wealth of Knowledge." and after you have those two, then you are wise? Interesting Healthy is first. It's pretty hard to be happy without being healthy isn't it? And what makes us healthy? A perfect balance of many, many things in life.

In any case, call it what you will but it seems most people want a "Balanced Life." I say it for branding purposes as Happy, Healthy and Financially Free at Straight Forward Coaching, we truly believe we can advance our clients on all three fronts on every single coaching session. It could be personal coaching, life coaching, business coaching or free coaching!

But without money, how would people get rich? Well that is a subjective word too. Rich in money or a "rich life"? A Rich Life could include money and wealth and financial freedom, but doesn't require it. Without money to chase, what would you commit to, promise or set as goals? Exactly, to be happy. With money out of the way it becomes painfully obvious that happiness is what is NORMAL. A Life Coach, a Business Coach, a Career Coach or an Executive Coach all face this topic with clients at one stage or another. And the seminar companies like Peak Potentials Training nicely blend elements of life such as happiness, confidence, joy, peacefulness, etc. into their programs too.

Les Brown speaks about being happy all the time when he tells his stories as a motivational speaker through the coaching world. We have many a business coach alliance with these kind of joint ventures and we hardly, if ever, talk about money, we talk about changing the world. Being in service to others, making a difference, and the money happens as a result of the efforts. It's our vision because it makes us happy, or makes me happy.

If coaching would improve the chances of your being more happy, you should look into it. Very often our clients complete their coaching happier than when they started, and many also end up healthier and wiser too. If you can't answer the fundamental question about what makes you happy, you may never be happy, or you'll be happy less because you are not focused on you and your happiness, perhaps you are focused on someone else and what will make them happy? With the United States Economy in turmoil, affecting the world economy, should you be recession proofing or recession free? What do I mean by that? Well, in my lifetime (now I know I'm getting old by saying that) there have been three sets of economic upticks and downturns.

What have I learned about the three sets? First, they come in sets of "ups" and "downs". So the good news there is every time there has been bad times they have been followed by good times, so no need to worry. Second, all three have centered around major election years so it a coincidence or a conspiracy. Well I think it is a coinkydink, but all the while the politicians are so full of crap, talking about what "they" will do. What they'll do when elected is ride it out, then claim they made a HUGE difference, what a load of horseh**. Then what can you do, what is the only true solution?

Ultimately it is to be recession free. How do you accomplish that? Well to be financially free, meaning to have enough money that the skyrocketing costs of gas, food and utilities catch your attention (on the news or in the papers) but they don't make a dramatic impact on you or your life. It's like when you go to a very fancy restaurant, there are no prices, just the entrees. If you price looked to decide what to eat, you'd eat chicken every day, the same with gas and utilities. If you are focused on the three and there prices you are not focused on something else and besides, that is living the life of scarcity. Rather, there is gas, there is food and there are utilities I can purchase, so to make my life more comfortable or opulent, I'm buying them regardless of cost.

Forget recession proofing, that's a sales tactic, it's already here upon you (if you believe in that). Rather, make your life recession free. In other words, you create your own economy that won't be affected by a world power's recession, threat thereof, or impact from it. There's only one thing that solves a recession anyway and that's consumer confidence and spending.

Plain and simple, when consumer confidence is high, we buy more junk. When we buy more the economy benefits from the added buying in taxes, jobs, and more confidence, so people buy even more and bigger ticket items or junk. Plain and simple we the people are the economy!

You are a "people", yes? So if the people create the economy, create your own economics. Be a leader, and don't follow what the Hippocratic politicians would like you to believe it so they can secure your vote with fear, if you are American. Don't be worrying about things that are not going to happen. Stay focused on creating your own life, your own passive income, your own multiple income streams which all ends up being your own economic security.

The first place to start is by getting your finances under control, then creating your financial security or stability plan, then the march toward financial freedom. The problem is that most people never take step one: getting your finances under control and that's where a coach comes in to help. Perhaps even a Financial Coach may be needed if the debt load is big ($10K to 40K) or even a credit counselor if you are $50K or worse in the hole with short term debts like many credit cards. What's your personal economy like if you have 9 credit cards (the average these day) with and average balance of $8,546 on each card or -$76,914 (ouch).

If you are living on your cards you are killing your economy and may never dig out. The interest alone on that balance at even as low as 6% (which nobody can get these days) is $4,614, a killer number for many. Can you see that this will NEVER work? Good, then stop being a victim and start thinking about how to change this mess and move forward and if you are tunnel-visioned now on only the eminent doom ahead, especially now that filing for bankruptcy is so much harder, then you'll need assistance from a personal coach, business coach or financial coach. Someone you can trust to help you create the disciplines necessary to stop the bleeding.

The pressures that get created when an individual sabotages their own finances affects EVERY area of your life in a negative way. It affects your happiness, your relationships, your fun, your attitude, your confidence, your children, your friends, EVERYONE and EVERY THING! So get help from a coach who can get you corrected and back on track. It's possible and has been done before but you will need to reach down deep and alter the bad habits that somehow got created.

There's no time for delays or research. Every day is you have debt it gets deeper, harder to climb out underneath from and the interest rates are killing you. And the worst part is your bank and or credit card vendors want you right there - that's their sweet spot. Have you noticed the profits these guys pull down? It's in the Billions with a "B"! So they know EXACTLY what they are doing, how to get you in that spot, and worse KEEP YOU THERE!

Enough isn't it? You must now take the first bold step in creating your won economics! That starts with Phase I: Getting your spending under control, only investing in things that you can't do yourself or get yourself and those things should appreciate in value or money, creating more money for you in the end. You have a choice in the matter of investing in yourself and your future or not. So:
